My Experience of the Annual Fest at ICFAI Business School

All of you must have attended the annual fest of your respective schools and colleges. For me, Annual Fest was like a festival, and I eagerly waited for it every year with extra zeal and enthusiasm.

Do you remember any precious moments related to your annual fest as a participant or an audience?

I know you are wondering which one to prefer first.

The same thing happened to me when someone asked me about it

The Annual fest of schools and colleges was more enthusiastic and attracted every student to participate.

During my school and college days, I used to participate in as many events as possible, whether academic or extracurricular, such as science fair, debate competition, extempore, sports competition, singing, dancing, fashion walk, etc.

After being a part of enormous annual fests, you must be curious about the annual fest of the business school. For example, how many events are there, what kind of, what will be the level of competition, is there any extracurricular events, etc.

I also do question myself about these points. But fortunately, being a student of ICFAI Business School (IBS), I got a chance to attend the annual fest ''Blitzkrieg'' of this business school.

Now let us move towards the Two Day Event ''Blitzkrieg'' of the IBS-Gurgaon

The events started with the energetic opening ceremony in the presence of the Senior Director, Prof. S.C. Sharma, Chief Guest Dr. Mukesh Gambhir, Guest of Honour, Ms. Ambika Goel, and all the esteemed faculty members with the excited participants and students of various colleges including IBS-Gurgaon.

The whole fest was a compilation of multiple events, where participants delivered back-to-back power-packed performances. Every event was unique and provided a common platform to show your talent. The various events were as follows:

Marketing Mystique: The motive behind this event is to provide a platform for the participants to showcase their marketing, brand-building, and product demonstration skills. Here every participant came up with a unique product idea based on the need of the customers, who were looking for these kinds of entities to ease their life and bring out convenience in their life.

Darpan: How will you deliver the message to the masses? Yes, it is communication. So, you can disseminate it with the help of role play, song, enacting, storytelling, etc. Here the teams confronted the messages for social welfare, such as child marriage, harassment, mental stigma, family, etc. Every act was phenomenal and the audience felt goosebumps over their hands.

Global Hustle: The participant team was supposed to deliver an optimal solution for the global economic crisis in the Global Hustle event. The teams applied the economic principles and devised relevant solutions to overcome the problem. My team brings out the idea based on the government and Central Bank'sBank's plans and policies, such as monetary policies, circular flow of the economy, stakeholders of the economy, etc. Here my team attained the runner-up position, whereas we covered the relationship between inflation and unemployment in India.

The Gala Affairs: What is necessary to be with the market trend and deliver a meaningful product. Yes, it is fashion sense. To showcase this, participants of Gala Affairs came up with their unique style and confidence. It was an energetic event that delivered the value of self-belief and adapting for the time being.

Money Marvels: It was an event focused on the financial institutes and the prominent market players of India. For example, Nationalized and private banks, TATA Group, Mahindra and Mahindra, Adani Group, Ambani Brothers, etc. From these entities, teams received the financial statements of anyone based on the lottery system. Then, after analyzing these statements, teams need to suggest to their customer whether to buy the firm's shares or not. If yes, then how many? So, this event boosted the analytical skills of those who prefer the field of finance.

Malang: Any fest remained incomplete without a dance performance. We consider the art of dancing as a good gift. But some individuals gain it through their hard work and dedication. Here the Malang came up with a platform for the elevated dancers. It was an event of solo and group dance performances where all participants got full on to their competency.

The underdog Gamers: This event was organized for passionate and hardcore gamers with speed and an analytical mindset. It was an unforgettable hour of the event where I played along with the other Nine candidates. Fortunately, I was able to clear the first round to enter into the Second (semi-final) round but not able to get into the third (Final) round.

The Bliss Corner: Institute dedicated this event to praising the beauty of art. Participants received a biodegradable carry bag, a drawing sheet, and all the other essential items for realizing the imagination into meaningful art. I had registered for this event and drew a panting over the carry bag. I was amazed to witness the kind of talent among the participants, as they were full of creativity and fantastic skill of hands.

Euphony: It was the singing competition where the participants came up with their unique, charismatic voices and mesmerized the whole environment. It was a tough competition for me. But still, I performed well and got the second runner-up position. This event proved to be a stage where we could see the kind of talent and get the inspiration to perform better than before.

Overall, the event was a success and gave me immense exposure through multiple facets of the event. I will assimilate the learnings and push myself to do better than before.
